Uniform Vehicle Types
If your customer’s fleet consists entirely of the same year/make/models, deployment will first focus on process optimization, followed by configuration/installation functions.

Multiple Vehicle Types
The greater the variety of vehicles in a fleet, the more installation options there are to consider for CP4S and CRX-S hardware. This means each vehicle is likely to require its own discussion about mounting locations. Longer, more complex vehicle types may require extension cables to connect all of the peripheral cameras to the DVR, and/or Suzie cables for tractor/trailer scenarios.

The best deployment planning should include all key stakeholders (e.g., the reseller, fleet manager, and lead installer) and take place BEFORE ANY HARDWARE ORDER IS SUBMITTED. This will help prevent multiple parts shipments and installer revisits.

Mirrored or Unmirrored?
Some peripheral cameras can be ordered as mirrored or unmirrored variants. A mirrored camera view is the preferred orientation for drivers facing forward and viewing a monitor while backing the vehicle up. Cameras facing the rear are typically mirrored, especially when a monitor is involved.

Xirgo's optional in-cab LCD Monitor greatly improves driver awareness by providing additional visibility around the vehicle.

If ordering the monitor, it must be configured to align with the preferred driver experience. The CP4S and CRX-S platforms can support General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) to capture event activity such as Door Open/Closed, Lift Up/Down, etc. Identifying this activity helps give fleet managers a clearer picture of what the vehicle is doing throughout the day. This is data that can be used for:

• Billing based on tasks completed
• Sending alerts on unexpected activity
